It is scientifically proven
If you take 30 seconds right now and write down 5 things you are grateful for, it will positively effect your happiness over the next 24hrs!
If you do that same exercise for 21 consecutive days, your base line happiness is positively effected for the next 6 months!
Now you may be thinking..."Suchie, what rinky dink company or University preformed this study?" The following word should pretty much clear up all doubt-> HARVARD! Shawn Achor, author of The Happiness Advantage, magna cum laude Harvard graduate and Harvard Head Teaching Fellow; founded Good Think Inc in 2007 to bridge the gap between evidence-based academic research and the real world.
Yes, happiness is a choice. What Good Think Inc suggests is that there are daily activities we can preform to raise our base line level of happiness. Well Mr. Achor...Challenge accepted!
Every morning for the next 21 days, I will write down 5 things I am grateful for. My journal and pen will wait on my night stand. I will tweet my daily gratitudes every morning and post them to the blog at night. (ps...if you are not following me on twitter yet..."Suchielove") To watch Shawn speaking about the Science of Happiness and gratitude, click here
Questions time again friends ~ What are you grateful for?

I want to play. So I will. :o)
Since I know you just watched Eat Pray Love...one of my favorite quotes from the book...
"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it."
LOVE that and you lady! :-)
1. I am thank ful for such a great, mostly functional family.
2. I am grateful for the financial successes I've had in the past
3. I am grateful for the certainty of financial success in the future
4. ... For a friend that posts stuff like this (I do feel a bit happier writing this)
5. ... For having the most interesting people I can call friends
Gotta come up with new 5 every day? The list may start getting thin after day 3.
-I am grateful for my family
-My love/lover
-I am grateful for my friends and the fact that no matter how much times passes since I last saw them I am blessed that we still love each other as if no day passed between!
-That I am gainfully employed
-The sun shines everyday
